Car Drop-off Procedures

Important Reminder for Student Parking: All students who drive to school are to park in the back parking lot (next to the tennis courts). Students in CO-OP are permitted to part in the last row of the front parking lot only. 

Student vehicles parked in the admin parking lot will be ticketed and towed from the property. Students who continue to not adhere to this regulation may have their parking permit revoked. 

***Parking permits may be revoked for violations of the Student Code of Conduct (including, but not limited to, leaving school without permission, class cuts, tardies to school, and truancy.)***

Important Reminder for Parent Pick-up: To enhance vehicle and pedestrian safety on the campus of Central Dauphin East High School, student drop-off/pick-up procedures are in effect from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. ONLY.

The drop-off/pick-up location for students is at the gymnasium entrance at the back of the school. Vehicles should enter via Union Deposit Road and travel up to the top of the parking lot (where the first bus is parked), make a left into the lot, and follow it down to the gymnasium to drop off/pick up students. Signs will be marked Student Drop Off/Pick Up with arrows indicating traffic pattern. Below you will find a map of the new traffic pattern.

You enter via Rutherford Road - you are not permitted to drop off or pick up your student at the front entrance (you must keep moving to the back of the school). This entrance is designated for bus loading and unloading during these periods. Lower Paxton Township Police will take the appropriate enforcement action as necessary.

Important Reminder for Staff Parking: All staff are to park in the front parking lot and should not park in the parking lot connected to the Administrative Building. EHS Staff parking in the Administrative building parking lot could be towed at the owner's expense. Also, please ensure you have a parking pass on file with EHS. 

***H/PE teachers, the Athletic Director, and the Athletic Director’s Secretary can park along the tennis courts. ***
