Asst. Principal 9th Grade
Hello, my name is Sarah Iachini and I am excited to continue to serve the Central Dauphin East High School Community as the 12th Grade Principal. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to build positive relationships with the staff, students and parents/guardians within our school community and supporting our students towards graduation.
My career in education started when I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. I spent my first two years as an educator in the New York City Public School System teaching 7th and 8th grade at MS322 located on 196th and Broadway in Manhattan. I then relocated to the Harrisburg area, and I have spent the past 15 years as an employee within the Central Dauphin School District. The bulk of my career before becoming a Grade Level Principal was spent as a Special Education teacher and case manager at East High School as well as a Special Education Supervisor serving East High School among other buildings within the district. While working at East High School I earned my M. Ed. In Educational Psychology through Temple University and then went on to gain my Principal Certification through Shippensburg University. I am currently working towards my Doctorate in Educational Leadership through Shippensburg University and hope to be completed in the Spring of 2025.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and running my two young daughters to their own activities. I enjoy reading, finding new television series to binge watch, and spending time outside playing and being active with my children and our dog, Duggy.
I am looking forward to growing as a leader within Central Dauphin School District and supporting all members of our East High Family.
